This album was released in both cassette and CD formats. A special ballot was included with the initial production run. The winner with the most votes would win 60 hours of free recording time from City Spark Studio, to be announced on March 15, 1991.The 15 tracks on the album were chosen from the radio broadcasts of the "Kansas City Rock-N-Roll Knock Out" heard weekly since May 1990 on KYYS-FM, KY-102. Each song was recorded in a six hour session at City Spark Recording Studio. Radio listeners would call in and vote to determine the weekly winner between two contenders.
All tracks copyrighted 1990, except for 1, 4, and 9 copyrighted 1989, and 7 copyrighted 1980.
