"This CD, containing a compilation of Christmas songs, is a limited giftedition. Only a hundred were made. It may therefore not be not be reproduced in any way or used for sale or other commercial purposes. It is a present to all the artists participating in this project and to all the contributors to our VPRO radioshow, 'De Avonden'. Besides celebrating Christmas in various ways, this CD is a memento of the fruitfull collaboration with the many artists on our program over the years. We would like to express our deep gratitude to them for their impressive contributions to this project and hope to meet in the nearby future. Best wishes and a happy 2004!

A selection of these tracks has been broadcast on VPRO 747 AM on December 25, 2003.

Series incorrectly listed as "Muziek uit 'De Avonden' Volume 6."

Track 12 was already lined up for inclusion on the 2002 edition of the VPRO De Avonden Xmas series, but it supposedly was received too late. The 2002 edition already includes the track on the sleeve, and the disc has a few seconds of silence where the track was supposed to be (also as track 12).
