A record of traditional music from the highlands of South East Asia with tracks from the Kayoh, Khammu, Brao, Karen, Yao, Thai Dam, Thai Lue, Hmong, Lahu Shi and Lahu Na music cultures recorded between 1992 and 2011 by Fred Gales. The record is of high quality, has a gatefold sleeve, an insert with ample text and pictures, and the vinyl is 180 grams transparant. Tropos is a new label based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and is dedicated to releasing music that matters and conveys an as yet hardly heard part of the beauty of the sonic reality. Only 300 records have been pressed and it will for the near future not be available digitally.
