Bryan Staff compiled the original album. Tracks A1 & A2 only existed in unmixed 4 track tapes, so were mixed in 1992.

This compilation contains all of the original 1980 release AK79, this being tracks A4 to B1 (in the original order), first released on Ripper Records RPR1, plus various singles and unreleased tracks from the era 1977–80.

Mastered at Airforce Studios Auckland, September 1993.

Some of the original tapes from this period have either been lost, or thrown out when the pressing plant closed, so a few tracks have come from vinyl, giving the odd crackle here and there. Unfortunate but unavoidable.

Track A1 recorded at Harlequin Studios, 1977. Released Jan 1978 on Vertigo 12″ (first 12″ released in NZ). Suburban Reptiles - Megaton / Desert Patrol.
Track A2 a demo from mid 1977, recorded at Harlequin. Remastered in 1993 from 4 track. Previously unreleased.
Track A3 the unreleased single. Recorded at Mandrill, Jan 1978.

Tracks A5, A9 recorded at Mascot in 1979.
Track A6 produced at Harlequin.

Track B5 recorded at Mascot, April 1980. Released June 1980 on Propeller 7″ (REV1) Features - Perfect, reached number 29.
Track B6 recorded at Mascot, May 1980. Released June 1980 on Propeller 7″ (REV2) The Spelling Mistakes - Feel So Good, reaching number 25.
Track B7 from the The Marching Girls - 1 single, released in Australia by Au Go Go, UK by Postcard, and in NZ by Propeller (REV 4) 1. Recorded Melbourne 1979.
Track B8 recorded at the same session as A12 and B1. Previously unreleased in New Zealand.
Track B9 taken from the Propeller EP The Perfect Features Exposed (REV 6) released December 1980, which reached number 35 (top ten in Auckland). Recorded at Harlequin Studios October 1980.
Track B10 recorded at Mascot, May 1980. B side of Feel So Good.
Track B11 recorded in Melbourne for The Marching Girls - 1 single. Reached number 35 in NZ charts.
