The following recordings [track 1 to 5] were made in North-east Nepal, in the province of Khumbu, in Sherpa country.
Track 1 recorded on 16 April 1969 at Thami.
Track 2 to 4 recorded on 15 April 1969 at Thami.
Track 5 recorded on 21 April 1969 at Tengboche.

The excerpts of religious music presented on this album were recorded during a three-month mission (April to June 1971) to the province of Khumbu in North-east Nepal, in Sherpa region close to the Tibetan frontier.
Track 6 recorded on 2 June 1971.
Track 7 recorded at the Monastery of Thami on 4 June 1971.
Track 8 & 9 recorded at the Monastery of Thamu on 6 June 1971.
