"This collage was created with sounds taken from 26 cassettes sent in for the Birds & Borders project. It was produced before the exhibition because the original cassettes will be available for headphone listening for the duration of the show and some may become damaged.
Each side has been created as a seamless mix in true VEC Audio style. Hopefully it is difficult to hear when one work ends and another begins, hopefully my treatment shall step on no egos toes! Several works are repeated or run beneath several other consecutive works. The running order given here is for the first time a work appears, subsequent repeats are not listed.
