This "Coast Hwy" compilation was modeled after the "Beach Blvd" record that came more than a decade before which highlighted bands in the Huntington Beach area. In the early 90s it was expensive for unsigned bands to put out their own CDs since they were the "new thing" at that time. So the four bands on this CD put their money together and collectively put out their own. There are two known cover art versions of this release with the primary artwork showcasing artist "Rachel Flannagan". The secondary cover art is beige with just the names of the bands repeated and the title of the compilation..
