A recording project from '87, forming part of the same series which began several volumes earlier with the very rare Black United Frontliners .
This particular volume also features a wide variety of group and musicians, such as The New World Percussion Ensemble, an eight piece band coming on like a cross between Leon Thomas, Burning Spear & War, on "Land Of The Drum". Spoken Afro-poetry on "Fancy Footwork" from Phavia Kujichagulia, sweet jazz vocals from The Wobogo Jazz Ensemble and an assortment of musical experiments with proto-rap, spoken word mixed with solo sax etc.
