These discs celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Compact Disc. Billy Joel's 52ND STREET album was the first CD ever made - the first release from Sony Music in Japan, October, 1982. Bruce Springsteen's BORN TO RUN, and Glenn Gould's GOLDBERG VARIATIONS were among the first selections ever released in the United States, in March of 1983.

These limited edition discs have been digitally remastered using Sony's exclusive 20-bit technology, a patented process ensuring that the subtle nuances and fine detail of the recordings are faithfully reproduced. The discs feature a gold reflective surface and a special "MasterSound" designation to celebrate this special occasion.
