Seven tracks performed on the one-handed flute intersperse the recording of Ana Maria Fernandes (I couldn't find her age, but her wrinkled face says more than a date of birth...), a singer with a style a little monotone for my taste… The alternation with the instrumentals makes it more pleasant to listen to. Curiously Avelino Torrado, the one-handed flute player, does not accompany himself on a small drum but plays in a formation similar to that of the bagpipes with a caixa player and a bombo player. Despite some hesitation, his playing is well in place and, supported by the percussion; we feel the functional aspect.
