Celebrating the diversity of vocal style & riddim in the influential, yet under exposed roots reggae scene, the Free Radical Sounds team have sourced some fine cuts from 45's and dubplate for 'NU SHOOTS INNA ROOTS. A collection of outstanding vocal performances comprising both fresh young talents such as Danny Vibes and Bobo BlackStar as well as tracks from respected elders of the scene, Junior Murvin, Prince Allah, Anthony Johnson, Devon Russell, Wayne McArthur and Mike Brooks.

The criteria for the selection of each track was that the lyric should be conscious, the melody infectious and the rootical beat should pound. All of these tunes have been road tested in the natural environment of the sound system and most cases have not been available outside of the exclusive UK & J.A seven inch market. When compiling this album we gave ourselves only two rules - that both the vocal and the riddim should be super strong and that we'd except no fillers. The selectors (Bimble and Smart Monkey) would respectfully like to dedicate this release to the memory and vision of Bim Sherman 1952-2000.
