First : the title of this compilation is reminiscent of the group S.O.U.L.
Then : Who are Universal Soul Orchestra ? and Stefanie, Torriso and The Orchestra (both in back cover) ?
On the back cover it says for track 1 "Stefanie - who is he, and what is he to you" but it's actually "Madelaine - who is she, and what is she to you".
The Orchestra (on the back cover) seems to be The Solid Gold Orchestra
Torrisi (on the back cover) seems to be Stefano Torossi
The track "Hyperbola..." by Universal Soul Orchestra is actually "Hyperbolicsyllabicsequeldalymusic" originally by Isaac Hayes on the "Hot Buttered Soul" album (vocal version) then by Living Jazz on the "Hot Butter & Soul" album (instrumental version) but it's not the same version.
There is another compilation on the same label with the same cover and a number of identical tracks : Various - S.O.U.L
