Welcome to Tempo Rosso. This project was originally conceived as a sonic solution for casual settings; be it a café, a restaurant, the car stereo, at home or for the portable CD player. We wanted to put together a perfect mix of down-tempo, hip-hop, dub and futuristic electronica, when we came across Lorin Ashton (Bassnectar). As it happened, he was already underway with such a mix so we let him take over from there.
What you have in your hands is, in essence, a one-of-a-kind unreleased mix of Bassnectar's upcoming release: Diverse Systems of Throb. While that CD is much more pumping and up-tempo, we bring you Tempo Rosso; a down-tempo trip-hop journey which contains exclusive mixes as well as tracks that won't be appearing on his final version.
