This soundtrack was available to download on Nintendo Of Europe's websites for anyone who registered their copy of the Wii game "Xenoblade Chronicles" to their Club Nintendo account.
Originally, the deadline for registering/downloading was supposed to be November 30, 2011, but for some reason it was still available to download if registered later. With Club Nintendo's closure on September 30, 2015, it became unavailable to download.

The release comes in a ZIP folder including 12 MP3 files, the cover in JPEG format and the inlay of the Australian CD release in PDF format.

The artist on tracks 4, 7, 8, 9, 11 is given as "ACE+(TOMORI KUDO,CHiCO,Kenji Hiramatsu)".
