Pirates Choice was (reluctantly) issued by Mr Dodd in response to the bootleg of the same tracks issued by Connect Records of Toronto, Canada, as BEST OF STUDIO ONE VOL.4. It is doubtful that Dodd would have released a compilation of such strong material without being forced to do so, none of these titles being included on any other album previously. The Studio One version has a slightly different mix, without overdubs and in mono. And an excellent O'Neil Nanco sleeve to boot.
