No attempt made to indicate which artist performs which song. Five [bogus] groups are identified as playing on the album, along with "other great 1964 groups".

Mono and stereo versions have identical sleeves with the same catalogue number - "TP 444". The mono version has "TP. 444" on its labels, while the stereo has "STP. 444". The stereo was issued with a rectangular "stereo" sticker on the sleeve.

Offered as part of the 1965-66 "bonus catalogue", which ran from July 1965 - for 30 bonus points (in the U.K., members accrued 10 points for each LP purchased above the annual minimum of four per year hence the "TP", rather than just "T"). It does not appear in the 1964-65 catalogue.
