Awarded the First Prize by the Polish Radio.The CD contains archival recordings made in 1993-2007 in the area of western Roztocze (Lubelskie region) and its surrounding villages. Some of the musical material was registered during the Lubelski Tabor Festival (Kocudza 25.06-01.07.2006). The present CD is a representative choice of the traditional instrumental and vocal folk music (excluding religious repertoire) from the area of Janów Lubelski and Biłgoraj. It’s only a small part of the rich musical heritage of this region. We can listen to the music of the masters – the most outstanding folk artists of the oldest generation and, in a few recordings, of their students. Part of the story that you’re welcome to enjoy are reflections on music by Stanisław Głaz, a fiddler.
