It has not been until the recent past that Lawrence "JACK RUBY" Lindo has
begun to receve his due recognition as both a talent spotter and producer.
Whilst a number of albums have concentrated upon his dub productions using
as always the very best of the Jamaican session musicians "Jack Ruby Presents"
pays tribute to the artists of international renown with whom he worked.

His seminal work with BURNING SPEAR will always be seen as his greatest achievement
and the album opens with two tracks from those sessions. However each of the tracks
that follow are oustanding in their own right and feature not only recognised artists
such as JUSTIN HINDS, the HEPTONES, DONOVAN and DELROY WILSON but also brings to the
fore such outstanding musicians as VINNIE TAYLOR, TYRONE TAYLOR and the GAYLADS. A
final bonus are three original compositions by the JACK RUBY ALL STARS.

During the 1970s Jack Ruby productions were released on his Wolf and Fox labels in
Jamaica. Long since defunct it is only now that these recordings are finding their
way onto compact disc.

but plays Lenox Miller & Jah Coller's cover version.

Track 17 is aka Native's Black Tracks Version.

Track 12 contains a mastering error, the sound drops out from 1:50 'til 2:20.
