‘CAM 1’, the first in an annual series, is a compilation album featuring a collection of some of the tracks played on the 'Cam O'r Tywyllwch' radio show during the first year. The title, which means "A Step From The Darkness" is a homage to the first ever Welsh language alternative vinyl compilation released on Recordiau Anrhefn in 1985. The programme aims to champion experimental, electronic and avant-garde Welsh music.

This record is a taste of some of the most interesting music created in Wales today, and is a mix of new artists such as Location Baked, Llion Swyd and Twlc together with those who have been creating experimental music for years such as Llwybr Llaethog, Lembo and Recordiau.
