The artwork was something I made before Galaxy Swim Team was a finalized thing, but was all I had on the mind! I really wanted to make something that captured my feelings about those words, "galaxy swim team". Which, ironically doesn't have much to do with water, or space. But rather, escapism and idealizing your situation. Living in your dreams and fantasies and being completely swept off your feet by your own imagination. Swimming with the stars and galaxies. Being able to escape and self project yourself into a better place. A place you hope to be in the future. For myself personally, I struggle with some gender dysphoria and feelings of disconnect from my body sometimes. So to me, I suppose it's an ideal situation. Being able to self project myself into a beautiful place, suitcase in hand, ready for adventure and presenting myself in a way that I might feel comfortable with someday. I hope this made sense in some way, and I hope there was no misunderstandings about the meaning behind the cover.
