Note on the release page: "CJSW 90.9 FM is Calgary, Canada’s campus and community radio station. The tracks contained on this compilation were all recorded live in the CJSW studios. CJSW is well known to have some of the best sounding live radio performances in North America and the 2016 compilation includes some of the most ambitious sessions that we’ve ever recorded. In the last year, CJSW has held over 200 live performances on the radio.

Ranging from classic shoegaze tracks, contemporary composition, avant jazz, industrial, punk and music from all over the world; you name it, it's here. The compilation spans three discs and contains almost 50 tracks in total.

This compilation includes many established artists such as Chad VanGaalen, Slim Twig, Robyn Hitchcock, Them Are Us Too as well as underground local and touring acts... and hey, there's a Zappa on there too! Album artwork is done by Bartolomé Sanson and Félicia Atkinson of Shelter Press.

The title "Signal Tracer" ties into the CJSW 2016 funding drive theme, which is based around the idea that the station is a secret society (tongue in cheek y'know?) Tune in at cjsw.com worldwide and hear "Radio Forever, Forever Radio"."
