Titled “Eulogy of Ashes,” the new track was written as an ode to honour the legend that is Trevor Strnad of The Black Dahlia Murder.

“The new single showcases a more melodic death metal direction for the band and pays tribute to a much loved fallen King whilst exploring themes of death, legacy, and the afterlife. The track features melodic guitar lines and soaring choruses, while still retaining the band’s signature intensity and technicality.

The lyrics speak of a dark and apocalyptic world, with references to ravens, blood, and madness. The band’s message is that death is inevitable, but art is immortal, and that one’s legacy can live on through their creations.”

Elaborating on the new release, vocalist, Duncan Bentley shares:

“We wanted to try something different with this song and incorporate more melody while still keeping the aggressive edge that fans expect from us. The lyrics are inspired by the idea that death is not the end, and that even after we’re gone, our art and our legacy can continue to live on and inspire others.”
