An ode to witches as well as Marco Corbelli, "Sentimental Witches" is an album that uses silence as much as noise to create a sense of ever-evolving, volatile foreboding dread through ritualistic acts that build across a trinity of related yet distinct chapters. Listeners are encouraged to reflect upon both the roles and examples of witches throughout history. Channeling influence from Shakespeare's Three Witches, Argento's Three Mothers as well as Atrax Morgue, Nurse With Wound, aLICE KEMP, Bleeding Cosmos, and The Museum of Viral Memory, Walter produces dynamic feedback and tortured vocals that are more the work of abject supernatural possession than any witches' magick, black or white. Most of all, listeners are reminded that they should not go burning witches unless they are ready for a fire.

Bay Area CA, USA artist Walter Campbell (NVS, book on VHS, Dickie Snakedick) is a filthy liberal who loves coffee, cats, and creepy music. A long-time punk band frontman influenced by Madonna as much as Masonna, his "walternative" soundscapes over the past decade--including as his anti-rock n’ roll nom de plume, Dickie Snakedick--include dozens of releases of largely improvised cinematic dark ambient horror, dungeon synthpop, rotten electronics, and minimalist death industrial, often with a not-so-surreptitious wink to his audience. Walter has released albums on USA netlabels such as NO PART OF IT, humanhood recordings, and MuteAnt Sounds.
