It was more than fifty years ago in the summer of 1967 at an old roadside cafe in Biggin Hill on the outskirts of South London where one of the first British Rock ‘n’ Roll groups was formed...This band was ”The Wild Angels”. The cafe in question was known as a bad boy’s cafe that became one of the most famous haunts of them all for Rockers & Teddy Boys back in the day...The one and only Nightingale Cafe. Back in those early years of the mid-1960’s Rock ‘n’ Roll was the music of the day...Real people making music that was exciting, vibrant, humorous and always totally irresistible. Today, most music played lacks these essential ingredients, but all is not lost because to remind us all of how things were, and how things always will be...Real Rock ‘n’ Roll carries on doing what it has always done, which is ignoring current, fashionable trends and simply concentrating on making the best dance music ever heard...And the Wild Angels did just that.!!This album that you’re now holding in your hands was first recorded more than three decades ago, and is a fine example of the group’s performance’s of their many concerts around Europe all those years ago. All the tracks on this LP are rare... Because the master tapes were lost not long after they were first recorded in 1987. They were then edited live in Brixton park studios where they were digitally re-mastered specially for this vinyl release.
