Heathens was a black metal / rock crossover band from Cape Town, South Africa.
The founding members, Dylan and Keenan, met up in the winter of 2009 to work on some music for their other band at the time, and before had toyed with the idea of doing something else together, a fun side-project. The two wrote 'Til the Aeons Come, and the project became an actual band at the beginning of 2010, with Jason and Jesse joining later in the year.
Between 2010 and 2011, Heathens put out 2 EPs and a single, straddling the genres of black metal, rock and ambient. The band now plays under the Wildernessking moniker, with the same four members that recorded the last Heathens release.
