Conventional 'pocket' sleeve with glued flaps on back. This is the first version of the black-and-white sleeve.
• Artist is shown as "WILLIE LOCO ALEXANDER" on front sleeve, typeset in the same font as titles and credits.
• "Gin" is angled upwards from left to right and has a lightly shaded background.
• Back sleeve has a single photo of Willie at a piano at left.
* Photos are high-contrast but detailed. Offset screening is visible.
• Original credits list "Photos - Bill Taylor - Musician's Magazine" and "Phototypesetting - Susan Cunha"
(The second black-and-white version has a fold-over sleeve with multiple typefaces, minimal photo detail, and "Gin" printed diagonally - and illegibly - across the upper right corner. The credits have been cut apart and re-assembled to remove the phototypesetting credit and correct/update the photo credit.)
