First issue, wide spine version, pressed at CBS Pressing Plant, Aston Clinton, with the following attributes:
Textured, single-pocket sleeve with 'XTC English Settlement' embossed in the green area on front and back;
Spine is 5mm wide with large white font – 'XTC ENGLISH SETTLEMENT' measuring 70mm across;
Debossed white illustrations on front and back sit below the green textured area;
Runouts have the characteristic Aston Clinton 'ᐱ';
Labels' pressings rings have a bevelled drop 63mm in diameter.

The sleeve art is configured at 90º, so appears to be top-opening.
Released with two printed inner sleeves with lyrics, credits and pics.
