Techno-pop historical masterpiece, reissued in analog in transparent yellow vinyl!

Originally released on September 25, 1979, this is YMO's second album. With the hit singles "Rydeen" and "Technopolis," and "Behind the Mask," later covered by Eric Clapton and Michael Jackson, the album triggered a social phenomenon techno-pop boom. The band members' red civilian-robe-like costumes and techno cuts on their jackets also attracted attention in terms of fashion, and YMO became an icon of the times. In 1980, YMO's album ranked No. 1 on the Oricon Weekly and Annual Album Rankings, and was also a million-seller, winning the Best Album Award at that year's Japan Record Awards. In 2018, as part of the "YMO40" project to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the band's formation, an analog reissue (remastering: Bob Ludwig / cutting: Bernie Grundman) using a master engineer from the United States was realized. The album was sold out early. This year, the 41st anniversary of its release, in response to an enthusiastic encore from fans, the album will be released in a limited edition on transparent yellow vinyl, similar to the 1979 initial release vinyl. The original mother of the original recording will be used as is for the 2018 edition.
