TEX (Household Ink Records, 1995) was the debut album by the "rock 'n' droll" band from Santa Barbara, Calif. known originally as flapping, Flapping, FLAPPING (later trimmed to flapping, Flapping, and finally flapping). The feisty fine 13 tracks were concocted by the band initially comprised of drummer Tom Lackner, guitarist-singer Rob Taylor, bassist-singer and guitarist-sometime-singer Joe Woodard. "Tex" is the dog seen on the album cover, owned by photographer/graphic artist pal Kim Reierson, who went on to art-ify many albums on the Household Ink label.
