In the grooves of this record is a collaboration between irr. and RKF which was originally undertaken in 2007. The recordings were created in 3 stages: firstly, both culprits created a new track; then, each used the other’s track as raw material to create another pair of tracks; finally, these reworked tracks were exchanged and reworked yet again to create a third pair of tracks. The original idea was to release the 3 audio pairs as a set of 3 seven-inch records, but that particular plan never came to fruition.
