Fiesta

Sublabel of Fonior founded in 1947. Headed by Ahmed Hachelef, the label initially specialized in North African artists, but later also included artists from sub-Saharan French Colonies and Belgian Congo. Due to competition from other French labels, by the mid-1950s the label had all but given up on releasing sub-Saharan artists. The label also served to distribute Congolese music in Europe and the rest of Africa.
