Established January 1946 by Moses Asch with proceeds from the sale of his current jazz, folk and blues catalog to Stinson Trading Co. plus manufacturing credits from Clark Phonograph Record Company. In June 1948 it was announced that Asch's assets would be put up for auction and Clark foreclosed on the masters. Later sold to Clark's former shop manager Irving Berman then pressing his own Arco (2) label.
