CRS Records
CRS is an abbreviation for California Recording Studios in Hollywood. The studio was owned by Bob Field. Two acts that had singles released on the label were The Scuzzies and The Furlongs. The first was with The Scuzzies, "Dave Hull The Hullabalooer". It was composed by Suzie Cappetta who was a teenager at the time.. It was produced by Field along and Don Wayne. On the recording, The Scuzzies were backed by The Vibrants courtesy of Bob Eubanks. The result was released on CRS-1110 in 1965. The song which was a tribute to Los Angeles radio personality Dave Hull became a local Top 40 hit.
The next group to have a release release was The The Furlongs..Their single, "Come Back Where You Belong" bw "Why Should I Care" (CRS-1111) was produced by Field. The Scuzzies, had a second single released on the label. It was "Our Favorite D.J." bw "A Teenager Feels it Too" (CRS-1112), released in 1965.
Decades later in the 2000s, a compilation of Scuzzies songs and some radio-related captures were released on a CD, CRS Records Presents The Scuzzies of 1965
