Folk World

Short-lived Folk subsidiary created by Capitol Records in 1966 "intended as competition for Elektra, Vanguard and Verve-Folkways." Folk World's initial signing was Fred Neil. It did not have its own label design, but its logo imprint can be found on the front and rear covers of pertinent Capitol releases.
