Bootleg label founded by Sam Meltzer in New York, active from 1946 to April 1949 (but listed in "Billboard" as late as 1951). As part of its 3000-prefix Hot Jazz series, it re-issued a total of 58 hot jazz recordings that had originally been released in the 1920s by Paramount (55), Gennett (2), and QRS (1). There also were a 4000- and a later 1500-prefix series.
