Nikkelen Nelis

Dutch record label founded by John J. Vis, former executive of the Dutch branch of CBS Records, and Otto Vriezenberg. The label was aimed at the niche market for recordings in the music theatre, cabaret and singer/songwriter fields, often in historical contexts. The label's name ("Nickel Nelis") referred to a song by cabaret artist Wim Sonneveld about a one-man street performer.
