Musik Für Alle

"Musik Für Alle" should be used as a series, not a label. The budget series was introduced in March 1967 by TELDEC »Telefunken-Decca« Schallplatten GmbH.

Over the years, the "Musik Für Alle" brand on the front sleeve changed - in the beginning, "Musik Für Alle" appeared in a large red square (cat# 101-125), eventually in a large blue square, from 1968 on in a small square (blue, yellow, black...), and in the 1970s in a transparent square. Represses often adopted these design changes.

Until 1974, the catalog numbers consisted of two or three letters (depending on the label) and a consecutive three-digit number - for example "NT 114". The catalogue numbers are numbered consecutively.

Chapter 1 ‎– NCH
Decca - ND
Deram ‎– NDM
London Records ‎– NL
Monument NM
RCA Camden ‎– NR
Telefunken ‎– NT
Warner Bros. Records ‎– NW
NX was shortly used for early Decca and Telefunken releases with recordings licensed from smaller labels.

Teldec introduced price codes around late 1974 - for Musik Für Alle releases mostly "AF".
In late 1974 the TELDEC cat# system changed to 6 digits with a dot behind the first digit, sometimes followed by the price code - for example: 6.21264 AF
Don't apply a date before 1974 to these releases, in doubt leave it blank.

The series disappeared in the late 70s.

In general, all releases were intended for the German market, some releases for the international market were issued with a Music For All or Musica Para Todos brand. In rare cases, German sleeves were also used in the Netherlands.

As Steinway & Sons had the rights to the brand name "Musik Für Alle", early releases state that it is used by kind permission ("mit freundlicher Genehmigung").
