Íslenskir Tónar

Icelandic re-issue label, named after a record label active in the 1950's, the rights to that label were bought in 1974 by SG Hljómplötur, who in turn were bought by Steinar in the 1980's.

Steinar resurrected the label to use for re-issues of older material in the late 1980's, and this practice was continued after Steinar was sold to Skífan in the 1990's. The rights to the name and catalogue now reside with Sena.

Gamla útgáfan Íslenzkir Tónar er ritað með z. / Þessi síðari Íslenskir Tónar með s.
