Ulo
Greenland's only large label. Affiliated with the Aqisseq studio. Established by Danish producer and journalist Karsten Sommer in 1977, first as label only but later with own recording studio in Sisimiut, Greenland. Prior to establishing Ulo, Sommer had produced albums by Greenlandian artists on the Danish Demos label. He now lives in Greenland.
The label is independant and aims to preserve and distribute Greenlandic music. Has released more than 100 albums. Does not seem to be active in past 10 years (website has been down for years too).
