Hakke Shoukai
Hakke Shoukai (八卦商会) was a j-core and nerdcore techno label that started in 1999 after the owner of XROGER, SK1, stepped down. However most of the label’s members wanted to continue, it can therefore be seen as a continuation or a new era of XROGER. The label released at Comiket and M3 like XROGER – except with pressed CDs, not CD-Rs (apart from promo). The label’s releases came to be quite popular too with many such as サンポーノレl selling as much as 500 copies, they also put out a very sought nerdcore release which was a a "collaboration" with XROGER; ファック!マルチね☆彡Remixes.
Hakke Shoukai held many events too; Hakke Shoukai Electronic Music Recital, an outdoor rave in Sendai and Chiba started in 1999, was held 10 times. There was Club八卦 too, an indoor event held twice in Tokyo and once in Sapporo. A year after Hakke Shoukai ceased activities in December of 2003, many members came together to form Handaya Rave as a successor to the former of those events. Its label which used the same name was made too, releasing music by the new crew – featuring artists from recent events as well.
