Oktober
Swedish label. Active from 1972 through to early 1980s. Director/Editor was Robert Aschberg.
In an article, published by Oktoberförlaget in 1977, entitled "The people have never conquered the enemy's music", it was claimed that rock music is reactionary and imperialist in its content because it was considered to be "closely connected with the offensive of US imperialism after the Second World War". They therefore distanced themselves from this music and instead raved about Swedish folk music and began to mythologize the Swedish folk music tradition in a way that approached the national romantic view of this music.
