Odeon Pops

Argentinian & Uruguayan Odeon sublabel, dedicated to youth music (rock, jazz, etc). Operated from 1959 to 1974/1975.

From 1972 onward some 7's start sporting plain XXXX #cat numbers that will be also followed by EMI-Odeon S.A.I.C. releases during the mid 70s.

Label designs determined from comparisons in 05/2020:

1959-1962: Green-Blue print Yellow label. Logo on horizontal bar. Ex. 1 Ex. 2
1962-1963: Green-Blue print on Yellow label. Enclircled logo on horizontal bar Ex. 1 Promo Ex. 1
1963-1974: Gray print on Black label. Logotype logo in yellow. Promo versions came in various coloured labels: Green, Red, Blue, Yellow Ex. 1 Promo Ex. 1 Promo Ex. 2 Promo Ex. 3
1973: Gray print on Green label. Same as previous design Ex. 1

Label design varies very little save for some outliers (Ex. 1 Ex. 2 Ex. 3) used haphazarly across the years)
