Malian label under the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Art and Culture of the Republic of Mali.
In 1977, a few years after the first wave of modern regional orchestras from Mali, the Mali Kunkan record label released a series of classic recordings from Mali’s best regional orchestras. Super Biton De Ségou, L' Orchestre "Le National Badema", Le Mystère Jazz De Tombouctou, L'Orchestre Kanaga De Mopti, Bida De La Capitale and L´orchestre Sidi Yassa De Kayes,Le Kene Star De Sikasso were each given the chance to release a collection of their own recordings.
