Malaysian record company established by Electric & Musical Industries Ltd. in the latter part of the 60s. Legally incorporated as Electric & Musical Industries (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. Please do not confuse with renamed company EMI Sdn Bhd.
In 1971 the board of Electric & Musical Industries Ltd. (E.M.I. Ltd.) decided to rename itself EMI Ltd., to reflect how its brand was now globally seen. In circa 1972 following its parents policy E.M.I. (Malaysia) is subsequently renamed EMI (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.
