Gull
South Africa
The Gull label was initiated by Howard Ipp in 1977 with the purpose of finding and marketing local artists (specifically from the Cape area) across South Africa and beyond. Pacific Express were their first and most successful signing, with other artists under their wing including Sir Prize (fronted by Henry Donjeany), and Erica Boersma.
About 20 or so singles and about five albums later, its final release appeared in 1981.
