Vetco Records

American country / bluegrass record label from Cincinnati, Ohio. See also Vetco Enterprises and offshoot label Octev Records.

Founded in the late 1960s by Lou Ukelson, the label started out with some old-time music reissues, but became known for albums by young Ohio bands like the Hotmud Family, Hutchison Brothers, Falls City Ramblers and Katie Laur Band, and by older mainstream bluegrass artists like Mac Wiseman, Charlie Moore, Earl Taylor, Jim McCall and Paul “Moon” Mullins.

Later in the 1970s, Ukelson bought the Jimmie Skinner Music Center on Vine Street, which became home to the label and where he also established Vetco Studios.
