Home Of The Blues (Label)

Originally founded in 1959 by Ruben Cherry, owner/operator of the "Home Of The Blues" record shop on Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee, the small regional label only lasted a few years, but recorded a great many wonderful examples of post-Sun blues and pre-Stax soul by artists such as Woodrow Adams, Roy Brown, The "5" Royales, Harmonica Frank, Willie Mitchell, and others.
