Able

Québec-based Canadian record label founded February 17, 1971 by Christian Lefort. active until approximately 1985. The label dealt mainly in French-language releases, many of them licensed from European labels for the Canadian market, but also licensed a number of English-language disco recordings.

The company name on English-language releases usually appears as Able Records, though Able Records Ltd. and Able Records Co. Ltd. are also used.
On French-language releases, the company name usually appears as Disques Able or "Les Disques Able", and occasionally Disques Able Ltée.

Distributed by London Records Of Canada Ltd. until 1980, Brahms International Ltée from 1980-1981, and Trans-Musique Inc. from approximately 1981-1985.
