1960s soul label from Detroit, Michigan, founded by Lou Beatty and James Hendrix.

Released soul singles by artists such as Al Williams and The Masqueraders that are extremely sought-after in the Northern Soul scene. La Beat would expand to include the Mary Jane, Cool School, and Rambler labels, before shutting down in the wake of the 1967 Detroit riot.
