Alamac
Alamac was an aftermarket label specializing in airchecks and old transcriptions; in fact it specialized in copying Boris Rose's LPs, creating second generation copies in reprocessed stereo. Prior to 1976 it was not possible in the United States to copyright a performance and some number of companies took advantage of this loophole to issue music which was legal so long as they paid the statutory royalties on the songs themselves.
Though it has been out of business for around 20 years, music which has appeared on it has been reissued on CDs occasionally by labels like Forlane and the like.
